HI! I’m Claire Kerslake
My goal is to give you support in creating the health you deserve so that you can make the most of this glorious, wonderful life.
Whether you are at risk of type 2 diabetes, have type 2 diabetes or would just like to become healthier, I’ll help you to develop skills and implement strategies so that you can create and maintain healthy habits in your life.
You’ll find inspiration, motivation, hints and tips and my take on the latest research and the many factors that can affect your health.
Based in country New South Wales, Australia, I’m a credentialled diabetes educator and registered nurse.
It was a mystery to me that as a health professional I could know what to do to be healthy and yet still continue with unhealthy exercise and eating habits, all the while advising clients on what they should and shouldn’t do!
While I am now a regular exerciser and my diet is healthier than it ever was, I understand where you’re coming from.
Discovering that creating healthy habits has little to do with willpower but was a skill that I could learn changed my life
I believe that being healthy is not about having the perfect diet and exercise habits.
It IS about starting with small steps and building up from there.
Creating health is more than a set of rules about diet and exercise. I’ve always thought that rules were meant to be broken (or at least bent) anyway.

Because I’m an Aussie you’ll probably find the occasional word with the Australian spelling and sometimes even some dinky di Aussie slang might creep in.
